The Corner Lodge Bar

The Corner Lodge bar and entertainment area is available for parties and functions. The bar is fully stocked for your every need. The entertainment area has a pool table and lounge leading to two wooden decks that overlook the sweeping mountain & river views.

General Information

Situated at the top of the Bainskloof Pass - behind the vineyards of Wellington, the Bainskloof Corner Lodge can be found bordering one of natures most beautiful view points, situated between the Happy Valley and the Limietberg River Trails (Witte river), the Bobbejaan's River Trail starts from the lodge.

Some 102 000 hectare of fynbos-covered mountain slopes, challenging cliffs and indigenous river valleys make up the Limietberg Nature Reserve. The area is an important water catchment for the Breede and Berg Rivers. Small antelope, dassies, baboon and the occasional caracal and leopard do occur. You may also be fortunate enough to spot endemic birds such as the Cape Sugarbird and the Protea Canary, as well as the majestic Black Eagle.

Maps and permits for the Limietberg Nature Reserve hiking trails can be obtained from our reception. Permits are R35 per Adult, R20 per child under 18. Maps are R15.

Sweeping views of this majestic back drop can be enjoyed from the Bainskloof Corner Lodge, deck's.  It is in this soothing setting where you may order from our restaurant and have a relaxing glass of excellent local wine from our fully licensed bar. Lunch and Dinner served.

We also provide braai facilities and a kitchen/dinning room, where you can prepare your own meals.

The self catering accommodation ranges from the backpackers room perfect for hiking groups, family rooms and cozy double rooms - great for a relaxing weekend away from city life. All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms and bed linen.
